Everybody is talking about the end of Second Life and virtual worlds. But today I’ve just got a press release from Pixelpark AG (Berlin, Germany) on my desk and they’re announcing their financial engagement in a company called Otherland Group GmbH. Otherland is specialized on all kinds of support for customers who wants to be active in virtual environments. They are not limited to Second Life, currently they support four different platforms. In the real world Otherland is situated in Berlin, but does this really matters?
It seems that virtual worlds are still (or again) of interest for companies and their marketing activities.
